The Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue invites you to join them in celebrating “20 Years of Tease!”, 8:00 p.m. (doors at 7:00 p.m.) Saturday, July 25 at The State Theatre, 719 Congress Ave. in Austin, Texas.
The U.S.A.’s longest continuously-running, most-awarded burlesque revue marks the occasion with a dazzling 20th anniversary gala featuring the entire Jigglewatts cast, a live band, and other surprises! Escape into the classic glamour of their world, and be thrilled by innovative neo-burlesque as these titans of tease take the stage. With group production numbers and solo acts, this ensemble of headliners shares the legacy of burlesque they’ve built in Austin and carried around the world from Australia to Europe and across North America.
The cast stars Jigglewatts Ruby Joule, Ruby Lamb, Selma Bawdy, Something Blue, Alexander the Great, Jolie Goodnight and Her Stardust Band, joined by Frankie Fictitious, neo-burlesque artist, producer, and creative visionary based in San Francisco. Crowned Miss Exotic World and Miss Viva Las Vegas, Frankie has been recognized among the Top 50 Most Influential Burlesque Performers Worldwide. As a queer Asian American artist, Frankie’s work is deeply rooted in identity, visibility, and reclaiming space through performance; she has become a prominent voice in queer nightlife and contemporary performance culture.
